Kevin's Pick Of The Month

Happy Monday Everyone!

I hope you all had a great weekend!  I have to say that I really enjoyed mine - very productive, beautiful weather, great church service, and good food always equals a nice weekend in my world!  I live in a great neighborhood and I love when the weather gets nice because everyone is out and about, the flowers are in bloom (due to our monthly HOA fees), and children are playing at the park.  It is almost like living in a small utopia.  If you listen closely, you can hear a child singing in the distance - until my dog Axel runs out the door and starts barking, ruining the moment! 

So far I have chosen a book (Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close) as well as an album (Adele - 21) as my picks of the month.  This time, I have chosen a website.  I cannot remember how I found this website, but I now look forward to it and it fits right in with my belief that the world is a better place when we take action and make a difference in someone's life!  The website is:  www.dailygood.org  This website is full of stories that inspire, motivate, and challenge us all to look past ourselves and make a positive impact on others.  I strongly encourage you to check it out.  In a culture that is bombarded with bad news, it is very refreshing to read a site that is fully dedicated to good news!  You can sign up for their emails (which I did) and you will receive a daily story in your inbox.  The site offers a wide variety of stories and I promise that it will inspire you - or at least give you a smile that day.  So check out the site now and sign up for the emails!

I am excited to say that my blog will be changing on Monday, April 2nd!  It will have a brand new look as well as a simpler web address.  I am excited about this change and the opportunities that it will bring!  I will be asking you to help me promote the new site in April and appreciate all of you that read it!

April 2nd will also be the next give-a-way!  So far, I have given away a Target gift card and a Rachel Ray cookbook - I will announce this week what the next gift will be (OK honestly, I need a few days to figure out what it will be!), but make sure you are a follower of the blog so that you can have a chance to win!!
